I respect your privacy. FluentFix is built to be useful, not to collect your data. Here's what happens behind the scenes — simply and honestly.
What we collect
- IP address — Used for rate limiting and abuse prevention to keep the service fair.
- Email address — Only if you sign up for an account. Used for authentication and account management.
- Feedback submissions — Only if you voluntarily leave feedback through the app. We may use feedback to improve the quality of our AI rewrites and overall product experience.
- Usage and performance data — We collect anonymized data such as feature usage patterns, error reports, session information, and performance metrics. This helps us identify issues, fix bugs, and improve the service.
What we don't do
- We don't store the text you type or rewrite beyond what's needed to process your request.
- We don't sell your data to anyone.
- We don't build profiles or track you across the web.
Your text is sent to OpenAI for processing and is not stored by FluentFix after the rewrite is complete.
Third-party services
FluentFix uses a few trusted services to work:
- OpenAI — Processes your text to generate rewrites. Their privacy policy.
- Supabase — Stores account data and usage counters. Their privacy policy.
- Vercel — Hosts the app and provides basic analytics. Their privacy policy.
- Sentry — Monitors errors and performance to help us fix issues quickly. May collect session replays, device information, and browser details. Their privacy policy.
We may use additional third-party tools in the future to operate, improve, or secure the service. Any new tools will be held to the same standard of responsible data handling.
Cookies & local storage
FluentFix uses minimal browser storage. A service worker supports the PWA experience, and Vercel may use basic analytics cookies. We don't use any third-party tracking cookies.
Email communications
If you provide your email address (by signing up), we may occasionally use it to send updates or improvements related to FluentFix. You can opt out at any time by contacting us.
Data retention
Usage counters reset daily. Feedback submissions are kept to help improve the service. Account data is retained while your account is active.
Your rights
If you'd like your data deleted, let me know through the about page and I'll take care of it.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. If I do, the updated version will be posted here. Continued use of FluentFix after changes means you accept the new policy.
